Introducing Chicago Latines in Philanthropy
About Us
Founded in 1986, Chicago Latines in Philanthropy (CLIP) is a professional network of philanthropic individuals, including grantmakers, board trustees, and individual donors in the Chicago metropolitan area. We seek to ensure local philanthropy is inclusive of and accountable to the region’s growing Latine communities.
New name, new brand identity
Acknowledging CLIP’s remarkable growth in membership and influence and recognizing the evolving philanthropic landscape over the past 35 years, CLIP engaged in discussions about the organization’s name and long-standing brand image. Member input led to a unanimous decision to rebrand, replacing “Latinos” with “Latines” and introducing a new logo conveying a dynamic and inclusive brand identity that underscores CLIP’s commitment to equity, its mission, and core values.
Programs & Advocacy
Our advocacy framework guides our work and is centered around key equity principles and consists of several key components: Influencing philanthropy, elevating Latine issues, amplifying community-led initiatives, and fostering collaborations with our affinity partners. Members can play an active role in shaping CLIP’s advocacy agenda.
